PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the deterioration of the coating property or the like due to the coagulation of inorganic particles by applying an ink receiving layer, of which the major component is the inorganic particle, and which contains a cationic compound, on a supporting body, and at the same time, in-line-adding the cationic compound right before the application when the ink receiving layer is applied. SOLUTION: An application liquid stored in a storage pot 1 is let down through a pipe 2 by using the head difference. In the meantime, a solution containing a cationic compound is stored in a storage pot 3, and the solution is let down through a pipe 4 by using the head difference in the same manner. The lowered application liquid and the cationic compound are respectively controlled to specified flow rates by flow meters 5 and 6, and then, are mixed by an in-line-mixer 7, and a complete application liquid is prepared. Then, the application liquid is fed to an application device 8, and is applied to a supporting body. For an ink-receiving layer, an inorganic particle is made the major component, and as concrete examples of the inorganic particle, calcium carbonate and kaolin or the like can be counted. As concrete examples of the cationic compound, a cationic polymer and a water-soluble metal compound can be counted. |
