SOLUTION: According to the setting method, an ink supply member is coupled by a piping installation mechanism 234 after a liquid-jet head unit loaded to a head-loading member 200 is held by a movable head-holding mechanism 237. The liquid-jet head unit to which the ink supply member is coupled by the piping installation mechanism 234 can be positioned and arranged to a proper position of the head-loading member 200 by the head-holding mechanism 237 without being affected in arrangement by the coupling.
