摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably remove floating foreign substances independently of the physical and electric properties of the foreign substances by dropping and precipitating the foreign substances owing to increase of their weights by humidifying air, which is an object to be treated, in the inside of a steam generating apparatus and utilizing dew formation upon the foreign substances floating in air and the humidity absorbing property of the foreign substances themselves. SOLUTION: At the time when air is taken in through an air inlet 1, air is introduced into a dust removing housing 4 with a large cross-section surface area of the flow passage from an air releasing nozzle 3 with a small cross-section surface area of the flow passage to decrease the flow rate of the air and suppress flotation of foreign substances. Steam generated in a steam generating apparatus 16 is released througb a steam releasing nozzle 2 to humidify air and at the same time to keep the inside of the dust removing housing 4 in highly humid state. Consequently, steam is stuck to the surface of the floating foreign substances to increase the weights of the foreign substances, to drop and precipitate the foreign substances and to remove them from air. After that, the humidified air is successively moved to a cooling chamber 5 for dehumidification and a temperature increasing chamber 6 and then released out a treated air outlet 8 by a blowing fan 7.
