PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil cutter capable of cutting a wire rod of a coil at the winding start and winding end to a designated length in cutting a delivery wire existing between plural coils obtained by winding a wire rod by a winding machine. SOLUTION: This cutter includes an upper base member 82 having cutting blades 83a at designated spaced positions, a lower base member 86 having cutting blades 87a positioned to engage with the cutting blades 83a of the upper base member 82 and a driving means for holding the upper base member 82 and the lower base member 86 to engage and disengage the first and second cutting blades with and from each other of the first and second base members. Thus, a delivery wire rod (a) is inserted between the upper base member 82 and the lower base member 86 to cut the delivery wire rod at two portions thereof by the engagement of the cutting blade 83a and the cutting blade 87a.
