WINDING CURL PREVENTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide winding of a web in a state without curls when winding an end part of the web on a winding outer circumferential surface. SOLUTION: An elevating frame 11 is provided above a side part of a winding 2, and one end of a web suppressing chain 22 which is normally maintained straight but capable of freely deflecting downward during usage is held by the elevating frame 11. A nip roller 32 capable of holding a tip of a web 1 and a nip arm 31 provided with a nip blade 34 are rotatably held on the elevating frame 11. During cutting of the web 1, a side rim portion of the web 1 is sandwiched by the nip roller 32 and the nip blade 34, the web suppressing chain 22 is placed on this side rim portion of the web 1, and the web 1 is cut in this state and wound on the winding 2. Curls are prevented by stroking and smoothing out curls of a web end part with the nip roller 32 and the nip blade 34 and performing winding while pressing the web 1 against an outer circumferential surface of the winding 2 with the web suppressing chain 22.
