PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic electric wire replacement device which saves space for its installation. SOLUTION: This automatic electric wire replacement device 15 is equipped with a work-wire supply/discharge mechanism 16 for supplying/discharging wires to/from a wire introducing part and a replacement-wire supply mechanism 17 for supplying wires 13 for replacement to the work-wire supply/discharge mechanism 16. The worked- wire supply/discharge mechanism 16 is equipped with a pair of wire supply rollers 25, 26, capable of making contact with or parting from each other, and wires 13 held between the two wire supply rollers 25, 26 are manipulated for supplying by the normal rotation thereof and manipulated for discharge by the reverse rotation thereof. The replacement-wire supply mechanism 17 is equipped with chuck bodies 48 for gripping wire-supplying direction end parts of replacement wires 13, and a turning manipulation part 46 capable of making turning motion between a replacement-wire supply position, in which the wire-supplying direction end parts of the replacement wires 13 gripped by the chuck bodies 48 are positioned between the two wire supply rollers 25, 26 separated from each other, and a replacement-wire withdrawal position to which they withdraw from between the two wire supply rollers 25, 26.
