PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device of liquid crystal elements in which cost of the product is reduced. SOLUTION: The device has a matrix type liquid crystal elements (LCD) 19, a liquid crystal controller 12, which controls the display on the LCD 19, and a display data storage section (ROM) 15 in which graphic areas, that store graphic data to be displayed on the LCD 19, and character areas, that store character generation data, are divided into plural parts and the graphic area and the character area are alternatively arranged.
