PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient durability, and to sufficiently reduce the noise of an engine and auxiliary machinery thereof generated inside of an engine chamber. SOLUTION: A muffler 13 is connected to the engine 12 arranged in the engine chamber of a hydraulic shovel, and a tail tube 32 is connected to an end of a discharge pipe 13c, and the exhaust gas Q discharged from the discharge pipe 13c is discharged into the atmospheric air through the tail tube 32. An exhaust device for construction machinery with this structure has an engine cover 9a for covering over the engine 12 and the muffler 13 freely to be opened and closed, a through-hole 31 provided in this engine cover 9a to make it pass through the tail tube 32, and a plate 34 and an elastic sound insulating material 35 for sealing a clearance between the tail tube 32 and the through-hole 31 in the condition that the engine cover 9a is closed.
