PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plane handle device wherein a locking means of a lock unit is prevented from being broken down violently by a tool such as a clowbar. SOLUTION: In a plane handle device, an operating handle 2 is held in a fixed case 1 so that it can rotate to protrude and withdraw around a transverse axis 3 provided in a base end part, and it is locked at a flat-down position by a lock unit 4 provided on the fore end side of the operating handle 2. Herein a fragile part 5 having a lower mechanical strength than a locking means of the lock unit 4 is formed in the part of the operating handle 2 nearer to the fore end side than the lock unit 4 in respect to the transverse axis 3.
