PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a recording agent regardless of the kind of the recording agent and to recycle a recording medium by jetting a blast material to a recording layer. SOLUTION: By spraying the blast material 4 with compressed air to the surface of the already recorded recording medium where the recording layer 2 has been already recorded by the recording agent such as toner or ink on the surface of the recording medium 1 such as paper or synthetic resin film by a blast jetting device 3, the recording layer 2 on the surface is ruptured and removed. Any system such as a direct pressure system in which the blast material is jetted by pressuring the inside of the device or a gravity system in which the blast material is made to drop and sprayed may be used as the blast device. Then, it does not matter whether it is a wet type or a dry type but it is desirable to use a direct pressure system dry type blast device from the viewpoint of operation efficiency. Any material such as sand, metallic particles, glass particles, ceramic particles, thermoplastic resin particles such an nylon, or thermosetting resin particles such as melamine resin, phenolic resin, alkyd resin or urea resin can be applied as the material for the blast material.
