摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of a mounting part for a camshaft rotation sensor capable of easily heightening the relative positional accuracy with a camshaft. SOLUTION: The camshaft rotation sensor is to sense the rotating angle of a camshaft supported by a cam holder (lower cam holder 12 and upper cam holder 13). The structure of the mounting part of the rotation sensor is configured so that a thrust plate (17) fixed to one end of the camshaft for specifying the axial direction position of the camshaft while abutting on the axial direction end face (thrust receiving surface 31) of the cam holder, is furnished with a part to be sensed (projection 18), and that a sensor (proximity sensor 23) for sensing passage of the part to be sensed from the axial direction is mounted on a member (sensor mounting wall 20) integrally formed with the cam holder. This allows easily heightening the relative positional accuracy of the part to be sensed with respect to the sensor mounting part, so that a high sensing accuracy is obtained. Because the sensor and a head cover can be mounted and removed independently of each other, maintenance and repairing properties can be enhanced.
