PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To feed recording mediums while separating the same one by one regardless of a size of the recording medium by mounting a pair of opposite side control plates moving in the width direction corresponding to a width size of the loaded recording medium for controlling both ends in the width direction of the recording medium, and similarly moving in the upstream and downstream sides in the paper feeding direction. SOLUTION: An universal cassette 16 to be loaded and unloaded with respect to a copying machine has an intermediate plate 60 for loading the recording paper, on its bottom 52 of a cassette tray 50. Here, a pair of side control plates 70, 72 are movably mounted on an opening formed on the intermediate plate 60, and respectively provided with a vertical plate 70a, 72a and a horizontal plate 70b, 72b to control both ends in the width direction of the recording paper. The vertical plates 70a, 72a are mutually linked by a control plate moving mechanism to be moved in the synthetized direction of directions D, F, and moved to proper positions corresponding to a size of the recording paper. Whereby the recording paper of various sizes can be selectively loaded on the intermediate plate 60.
