<p>1414903 Electrostatic air conditioning apparatus C G VON BERCKHEIM 29 June 1973 [2 Dec 1972] 31049/73 Heading B2J [Also in Division H1] Apparatus for establishing an environmental electrostatic field in a room 1 comprises a ceiling electrode 4 mounted on insulators 3, a counter-electrode constituted by the walls 5, 6 and floor 7, and a high voltage supply source in the form of a voltage divider 10 connected through a plug 9 to the e.h.t. supply associated with the picture tube of a television receiver 8, the electrode 4 being connected by a lead 12 to a tapping 11 on the voltage divider which has a resistance of at least 10<SP>7</SP> ohms. The voltage divider may comprise a fixed resistor (21) Fig. 2 (not shown) in series with a voltage-dependent ceramic resistor (22) having adjustable tappings so that a plurality of different potentials are available for connection to the electrode 4. The resistor (21) may be located in the connection plug to the t.v. receiver.</p> |
