PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain phthogenic Borrelia burgdorferi microorganism strain ZS27 which is useful for producing Lyme disease vaccines that can inhibit the crises of arthritis, myocarditis and hepatitis, and so on. SOLUTION: Pathogenic Borrelia burgdorferi microorganism strain SZ7 (DSM 5527). The method for isolating or reculturing the pathogenic Borrelia burgdorferi microorganism strain preferably comprises obtaining the pathogen from an immunodeficent experimental animal preliminarily infected by the pathogen. Therein, the pathogenicity of the pathogen is held and left. The pathogenic Borrelia burgdorferi microorganism strain ZS7 is preferably obtained from the blood and/or joint of an infected Scid-mouse.
