PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a uniform coating film condition free from the coating defect by coating at least a photosensitive layer with a hopper type coating device. SOLUTION: As the hopper type coating device, a slide type, a curtain type, an extrusion type, or the like, is used. For example, in the slide hopper 1, a coating liquid 6 reaches a slide surface 4 through a slit 5 having a pocket, flows on the slide surface 4, extends to an edge (coater end) and is applied on a belt like supporting body 3 through a liquid reservoir called a bead arranged at the belt like supporting body 3 to be held by a back roll 2. Polyethylene terephthalate, or the like, is used for the belt like supporting body 3. The coating quantity of a recording layer formed on the belt like supporting body 3 is 1-50 g/m2 by dry weight. As the traveling speed of the belt like supporting body 3, that is coating speed, 5-150 m/min, preferably 10-50 m/min is proper. The temp. of the coating liquid to be supplied to the hopper 1 is 30-50 deg.C. |
