PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a hitting feel and durability and to improve a carry by optimizing the spin performance with respect to the impact with various kinds of clubs. SOLUTION: This rubber-thread winding golf ball includes a solid center, a thread rubber layer formed of rubber threads wound on the solid center and a cover formed to cover the surface of the thread rubber layer. In such a case, the solid center has a diameter of 29 to 37 mm, has a hardness distribution lower in the hardness of the outer surface than the central part. The hardness difference between the maximum value and minimum value of the solid center hardness is >=6 in JIS-C hardness, the JIS-C hardness of the outer surface is 50 to 85 and the deformation quantity of the solid center when load from an initial load of 1 kg to a final load of 50 kg is applied thereto is 2 to 4.5 mm.
