PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake structure of internal combustion engine capable of reducing the discharge sounds from a suction passage over the whole frequency ranges. SOLUTION: The intake structure of an internal combustion engine is such that an air funnel 10 whose upstream end has approximately the same diameter as the inside diameter of an intake passage 9 and downstream end has a diameter smaller than the inside diameter of the intake passage and which is configured so that the diameter reduces gradually toward the downstream, whereby the intake pulsation given from the engine 1 is canceled with the phase-shifted intake pulsation reflected by the outer surface of the air funnel 10, and thereby noises emitted in association with the intake pulsation are reduced. This damps intake pulsation in any frequency range, and the discharge sounds from the intake passage 9 can be reduced over the whole frequency range only in one component of air funnel 10.
