PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double lateral leak prevention function by raising both sides of an absorption element from the reverse by gathered flaps toward the used face side, increasing absorption to the interior of the absorption element while preventing a lateral leak and ultimately preventing leaks, if any, from both sides by the gathered flaps. SOLUTION: At least in the longitudinal middle part, an absorption element 10, gathered flaps 20 existing on the reverse side thereof and extending outwardly in the width direction from the both side edges of the absorption element 10 and having an elastic extension member 21 in the extending portion, a leak prevention sheet 30 preventing a humor from leaking to the reverse side from the absorption element 10 are arranged, and the gathered flaps 20 have free starting points 40 inwardly of the side edges of the absorption element 10, and the outward portions in the width direction from the free starting points 40 are not fixed to the absorption element 10.
