PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably prevent leakage of grease from the lip seal of a bearing, in a scroll compressor provided with a grease sealing type bearing. SOLUTION: Lip seals 31, 33, 35, and 36 situated at bearings 5, 6, and 12 adjoining with discharge pressure chambers 24 and 25, increased in a pressure by a discharge pressure during operation are mounted in a direction reverse to a conventional direction, i.e., in a direction in which, when the pressure of the external parts (discharge pressure chambers 24 and 25) of the bearings are increased to a value higher than the pressures of the internal spaces 29, 32, and 34 of the bearings to contain grease, penetration of high pressure fluid into the internal space of the bearing from the external part of the bearing is blocked. This constitution prevents deterioration of grease due to penetration of high pressure fluid and lowering of performance of a bearing due to gradual pushing out of grease when a compressor stops operation because of high pressure fluid being shut in the internal space of the bearing, and further contamination of discharge fluid.
