PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain foods for prevention of senescence capable of preventing or suppressing senescence of skin, scalp, or hair that occurs due to aging by including specific stilbene compounds or the like. SOLUTION: The foods includes one or more kinds of stilbene based compounds expressed by the formula [A and B are each a halogen, amino, amidino, anilinoamido, mercapto, sulfo, phosphate, 1-5C hydroxyalkyl, sugar moiety, -OR1 (R1 is H, a 1-5C alkyl, 1-5C hydroxyalkyl, 2-5C alkenyl), -OCOR2 (R2 is R1); n and m are each 0-5], such as 4, 4'-stilbenediol or the like, their polymers and vegetable extracts including it. The compounds of the formula originating from one or more kind of vegetables selected from polygonaceous plant, Vitaceae, Veratrum album and mulberry are preferred, and the preferable intake of the stilbene based compound for an adult is 10-100 mg/day. |
