<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the spin ratio of a spin quantity at wet to a spin quantity at dry, i.e., a spin holding rate, by preparing the cover composition of a golf ball consisting of a core and a cover by compounding a tackifier with a base material resin. SOLUTION: The cover composition of the golf ball consisting of the core and the cover is prepared from the composition prepared by compounding the tackifier with the base material resin, in which the compounding ratio of the tackifier is specified 5 to 50 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. base material resin. The tackifier to be used is preferably a terpene resin and/or rosin ester resin. An ionomer resin alone or the base material resin which is mainly composed of the ionomer resin and is mixed with one or >=2 kinds among respective elastomers of a polystyrene system, polyolefin system, polyurethane system and polyester system is used as the base material resin. The hardness of the cover is set at a range of 40 to 65 in Shore D hardness.</p> |
