摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To consume introduced ozone effectively by preventing the decomposi tion of gas phase ozone by ultraviolet rays by dividing a reaction tank into an ozone dissolving part and an ultraviolet irradiation part by a shielding plate in an apparatus for oxidizing wastewater by using ozone and ultraviolet rays together. SOLUTION: In an oxidation treatment apparatus for oxidizing organic substances, especially trace chemical substances such as a dioxin, in wastewater, a reactor 1 is divided into an ozone dissolving part 3 and an ultraviolet irradiation part 4 by a shielding plate 2. Ozone gas is introduced into the part 3 from its bottom part. Raw water is introduced from a raw water introduction pipe 5 into the neighbourhood of the bottom part of the part 3, elevated in the part 3 by an air lift effect by the flotation force of the ozone gas, and circulated by being introduced from the upper part of the shielding plate 2 into the part 4. Ultraviolet lamps 8 which are inserted into protective pipes 7 respectively are installed horizontally in the part 4.
