PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device of a hot rolling steel edge preventing an inductor coil from a burning trouble by arranging a passing guide made of non-magnetic material between inductor coils arranged above/below both edges of a hot rolling steel and an inductor coil below the hot rolling steel. SOLUTION: A passing guide 2 is made of non magnetic material of SUS340, has a space 2A communicating in the width direction and is constituted to be water-cooled by a water cooling piping. Because the passing guide 2 is constituted of non-magnetic material, the leakage magnetic flux passing from an upper inductor coil 4U toward a lower inductor coil 4L through the passing guide 2 is extremely reduced, the temp. rise of the passing guide 2 due to the electromagnetic induction action of the leakage magnetic flux can be reduced. Thus, the radiation heat quantity from the passing guide 2 to an accommodation part 5L of the lower inductor coil 4L is reduced, the temp. rise of the accommodation part is reduced, deformation due to heat is prevented, the intrusion of a scale is prevented as well, accordingly, the inductor coil is prevented from burning.
