METHOD FOR SUPPLYING FLEXIBLE ALERTING FUNCTION OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION SWITCHING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for supplying a flexible alerting function of a mobile communication switching system is provided to utilize the flexible alerting function for setting up many incoming subscribers of one transmission call and giving a transmitting subscriber one call, so as to supply new additional services. CONSTITUTION: The switching system of a mobile communication system receives a call request signal to a setup number, and location register information of members of a flexible alerting(FA) function. The switching system translates the location register information to recognize a FA service call. The switching system generates processes for attempting calls to the members as many as the members. The switching system indicates each of the process call attempts. The processes attempt the calls for corresponding members. If the processes receive a report on occupying trunks to incoming subscribers, the processes connect a space switch(SSW). A transmitting subscriber transfers a message including transmitting/incoming number information to other switching system from the switching system of the mobile communication system. If the transmitting subscriber receives an incoming-capable report from the other switching system, a switching system of the transmitting subscriber transmits a ring back tone(RBT) to the transmitting subscriber. If the other switching system receives the incoming-capable report and transmits an incoming response report, the switching system of the transmitting subscriber releases an RBT transmission to the transmitting subscriber and connects the incoming subscriber with the transmitting subscriber to make a speech status. The switching system of the transmitting subscriber suspends call trials to remaining incoming subscribers.
