INK PAN FOR GRAVURE PRINTER USING AQUEOUS AND OILY GRAVURE INKS AND STRUCTURE OF GRAVURE PRINTING FURNISHER ROLL USING THE GRAVURE INK AND DOCTOR THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the residual ink and eliminate problems of defective wetting and plate fogging for a gravure printer using a gravure ink. SOLUTION: In the structure of an ink pan 1 for a gravure printer using aqueous and oily gravure inks, an ink fountain 4 is formed into the size in which only a furnisher roll 2 is immersed, and a plate cylinder 3 is removed from the ink fountain 4 and positioned on the side of a shallow bottom 1a to reduce the residual ink amount. Also in a gravure printer using an aqueous gravure ink, a furnisher roll 2 is disposed on the side of a doctor 5 to prevent the scattering of the ink from a plate face 3a by the centrifugal force particularly when the printer is revolved at high speed and eliminate the defective wetting. Also in the gravure printer using the aqueous gravure ink, the length of a back plate of the doctor 5 is set in the range of 20-30 mm, while the length of a blade of a doctor knife is set in the range of 3-4 mm to set the optimum contact pressure and eliminate the plate fogging.
