<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the achievement of good water cleaning action and good aerating and stirring action by a cleaning material, by effectively preventing the increase of the suction resistance of a pump caused by the cleaning material. SOLUTION: A water cleaning apparatus has the arm member 5 supported on the support 1 erected in a closed water area 3 in a state freely movable up and down along the support and freely rotatable therearound and float members 7 are mounted on the extended end parts of the arm member 5. A water jet device 10 having an axial flow pump 10b allowing water to flow upwardly is provided to each of the float members 7. A rotary propelling force imparting pipe 12 discharging a part of the discharged water from the axial flow pump 10b in the almost tangential direction of the circle centering around the axis of the support 1 is provided to each of the water jet devices 10. Cleaning material units 14 are attached to the arm member 5 at positions spaced apart from the water jet devices 10 so as to be supported and arranged in water in the vicinity of the surface of the water. Each of the cleaning material units 14 consists of a upwardly opened reticulated basket 14a and a cleaning material 14b covered with a net.</p> |
