PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regrinding method for an end mill automatically measuring in advance on a machine an index angle and a helix angle of this end mill to grind it on the basis of this value, by not enhancing accuracy of a simple substance of the ground end mill but utilizing a position detecting probe additionally provided in an NC tool grinding machine so that the end mill can be ground along a respective cutting blade of the end mill when it is reground. SOLUTION: This method of regrinding an end mill gives a highly accurate restoration to an external peripheral cutting blade of the end mill having a spent helical blade for cutting work. A helix angle and index angle of the cutting blade in the ground end mill 17 are measured by a measuring probe 19 provided in a numerical control tool grinding machine 13, the original cutting blade is reproduced to be based on this measured value. |
