PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder in which monocolor recording is performed with a color developable using the remaining inks at the time of color ink end. SOLUTION: If monocolor print is set when ink end is detected, the ink jet recorder determines a color of monocolor print based on a preset priority and performs printing while substituting the selected color for the color of print data. The ink jet recorder performs substitution color print if the current time falls within a preset time designating execution of monocolor print at the time of ink end, otherwise displays a dialog requesting replacement of ink and performs normal color print upon replacing ink. |
