PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dismount a skin plate installed on one surface of a steel frame to the inside of the steel frame easily from the inside of the steel frame so as to join unit tunnels to each other. SOLUTION: This steel segment comprises a steel frame 15 having a pair of parallel girders 16 assembled perpendicular to each other and a pair of parallel joint plates, a skin plate 20 installed detachably on one surface of the steel frame 15, and a plurality of vertical ribs fixed between the girders 16. The skin plate 20 is installed projectedly on the girders 16 and the lower surface of a flange of a joint plate, and installed detachably on the steel frame 15 by a fixing member 22 having a stud bolt 23 passing through the skin plate 20 and a nut 24 screwed with the stud bolt 23 through the skin plate 20.
