PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring an amount of absorbable energy close to an ideal value by burying a hard material higher in hardness than a fender body whose both ends are molded into a smooth shape in the neighborhood of buckling and deformation of a support leg part extended from a receiving part to an attaching face. SOLUTION: The fender 1 is made of a longitudinal shape integrally forming the whole by an elastic material such as rubber and has hard materials 2, 2 buried in a pair of the support leg parts 11, 11. The hard materials 2, 2 make both the ends smooth shapes, and may be buried in the form of a strip over the entire length of a longitudinal length. The buried position is L0 in the range of 0.2-0.8 H, and W0 in the range of 0.1-0.9 W from an inner side wall. The hard material 2 is made of rubber of 80 degrees or more in rubber hardness resin, and metal, ceramic or the like whose young modulus is 5 times larger than that of the elastic material constituting the fender body. Thereby the fall of reaction force can be lessened during compression, and an amount of absorbale energy in the range of a strain amount can be approximated to an ideal value.
