PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability by suppressing the abrasion of weft yarn in a wire cloth for papermaking having a woven structure with the weft yarn present at the back surface and protruded from warp yarn to prevent the abrasion of the warp yarn, i.e., weft-abrasion type wire cloth for the papermaking. SOLUTION: A monofilament composed of a polyamide-based synthetic resin and having good flexibility is used as the weft yarn 11 present in the back surface. A synthetic resin material composed of a polyamide elastomer, or the one composed of a polymer alloy containing the polyamide elastomer is especially used as the synthetic resin material for forming the weft yarn.
