PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print document data on a host apparatus without requiring a conventional printer driver by printing with data to be printed from the host apparatus according to a second printing setting information formed by proper information from a first printing setting information of the host apparatus. SOLUTION: A command interpret part 242 forms second printing information based on its proper information from first printing setting information from a host apparatus via a communication I/F part 241. A printing setting process part 243 executes a process related to a printing setting by communicating based on a command system defined between the part and the host apparatus. An information memory part 245 stores printing setting information set by the process part 243 in response to a printing setting request from the host apparatus. A printing process part 246 develops data to be printed from the host apparatus to bit map data of a raster form on the basis of the setting information of the information memory part 245 and sends the data to a print engine part 247 to print the data.
