PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce wash-free rice which does not impair taste with little water. SOLUTION: This device is provided with grain lifting spirals which transport polished rice from below to above by rotation, a watering port 32 for rice polishing water which is disposed at a head, a discharge port 16 for the polished rice which is disposed at the head and a rice polishing roll 28 which agitates the polished rice pressurized by transportation with screw vanes 24 together with the rice polishing water and subjects the polished rice to a rice polishing treatment. The polished rice subjected to the rice polishing treatment is discharged from the discharge port 16 and the water in which the rice is washed is drained from a drain port 14 pierced at a rice polishing cylinder 10.
