PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate a zinc isotope at a low cost by a simple device by allowing a solution containing a zinc isotope to flow through a column filled with a cation exchange resin or the like to make the resin absorb zinc and thereby forming a zinc adsorption zone and further, allowing an eluent to flow through the column to obtain a concentrated zinc isotope. SOLUTION: When a zinc isotope is separated at a low cost, a pressure- resistant glass column 1 is filled with a cation exchange resin and a plurality, e.g. six pieces, of the columns 1 are connected together. Further, a nitrate solution is supplied from the top of the first column 1 by a high pressure pump to replace the cation exchange resin with the H type and after that, a solution having a Cu(NO3)2 concentration of 0.25 mol/L and a nitrate concentration of 0.1 mol/L is supplied to replace the cation exchange resin with the Cu type. Next a solution having a Zn(NO3)2 concentration of 0.05 mol/L and an EDTA (2NH4) concentration of 0.05 mol/L is supplied to form a zinc adsorption zone and an eluent is supplied to develop the zinc adsorption zone.
