PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a sufficient printing density coping with a high speed printing, and at the same time, prevent staining due to a transfer and the retransfer of a dye from occurring by adding a cellulose ester and quinophthalone-based coloring matter or the like in the yellow layer of a dye layer, and at the same time, adding an aromatic polycarbonate resin in the receiving layer. SOLUTION: For this thermal transfer recording material, the dye layer of a thermal transfer sheet and the receiving layer of a thermal transfer image- receiving sheet are superposed, and a dye in the dye layer is transferred to the receiving layer by a heating means. In this case, an aromatic polycarbonate resin is contained in the receiving layer. In the meantime, a cellulose ester, and at least one kind selected from a quinophthalone-based coloring matter represented by formula (1), and a dicyanostyryl-based coloring matter represented by formula (2) is contained. In this case, in formula (1), R1 to R5 and R6, R7 each independently represent various kinds of groups, which can be selected. Also, in formula (2), R1 to R3 each represent various kinds of groups, and A represents -CH2- and others. |
