PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the laminate peel strength not only at the time of drying but also, at the time of being dipped in water by constituting major components to form a layer as an anchor coat layer of the ink receiving layer, of a styrene- acrylic copolymer resin having a glass transition point of a value in a specified range, and a colloidal silica. SOLUTION: At least on one surface of a base material, an anchor coat layer is provided, and on the top, an ink receiving layer is laminated, and thus, this ink jet recording paper is manufactured. In this case, the major components of the anchor coat layer are constituted of a styrene-acrylic copolymer resin, of which the glass transition point is -30 to -10 deg.C, and a colloidal silica. As the base material, a plastic film and a synthetic resin or the like can be counted, and a void may be provided inside, or the base material can be made opaque by adding a filler. The ratio F/R of the solid component weight R of the styrene-acrylic copolymer resin and the solid component weight F of the colloidal silica is preferably 0.3 to 1.3, and the laminate peel strength is increased in this range. |
