PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a high quality image stably through a continuous coating system by preventing variation in the thickness or position of image recording liquid in the vicinity of front or rear edge of an imaging region. SOLUTION: In the method for forming an image by ejecting image recording liquid mixing a plurality of recording liquids at a ratio based on an image signal from image recording liquid ejection openings as a continuous flow onto an image receptor 16 moving relatively to the image recording liquid ejection openings, dummy liquid substantially forming no image flows continuously to the forward end side and/or the rear end side of an imaging region on the image receptor 16. |
