PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize two kinds of pasting having properties different from each other even in a small-sized bookbinding device. SOLUTION: In a paste container for a bookbinding device, which stores a paste to be applied to the back of a pamphlet under heat through the adhesion with a rotating roller, a cutting groove 9, which bisects a bottom plate 1c, is formed on the bottom plate 1c of a container 1. In addition, by forming an inverted U-shaped partition plate 8 rising from the bottom plate 1c along the edge of the cutting groove 9, the interior of the container 1 is divided into two sub-chambers 2 and 3, to which paste applying rollers 4 and 5 can be respectively arranged. In the respective sub- chambers 2 and 3, heaters 6 and 7, which respectively heat the pastes in the respective sub-chambers 2 and 3 up to their melting temperatures, are provided. Further, a through passage 10, through which the pastes in the respective sub-chambers 2 and 3 communicate to each other, is formed in the partition plate 8. Furthermore, an on-off valve 11 for opening and closing the through passage 10 is provided in the through passage 10 so as to constitute the paste container. When two kinds of pasting having properties different from each other are executed, the on-off valve 11 in the through passage 10 is clogged and pastes are separated from each other and respectively poured in the respective sub-chambers for applying the pastes. |
