PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phantom which can be utilized for evaluation and correction of both an electroencephalograph and a magnetoencephalograph. SOLUTION: A hollow container 40 forming an outer shell of a phantom is filled with the high conductivity material 46 such as the physiological salt solution for electrically simulating brain material and cerebrospinal fluid, and a current dipole 20 for simulating the nerve current source is arranged in the high conductivity material 46. The hollow container 40 is formed into the double- layer structure of a cranium simulating layer 42 having a low conductivity nearly equal to the cranium and a head skin simulating layer 42 having a high conductivity nearly equal to the head skin. This phantom is utilized as a model for evaluation and correction of a brain magnetometer with a magnetic field generated by the current dipole 20, and while utilized as a model for evaluation and correction of an electroencephalogram meter by providing a head skin simulating layer 44. |
