<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm device for a vehicle assuring operation of an alarm on the power source side of a second fuse to certainly prevent a vehicle theft by allowing a break of only the second fuse provided in a current carrying circuit when the current carrying circuit is short-circuited, and allowing simplification of the current carrying circuit to reduce a production cost. SOLUTION: In this alarm device, first and second alarms 10, 11 are connected in parallel to a current carrying circuit 13, while the current carrying circuit 13 is provided with a first fuse 22 common to all the alarms 10, 11 and a second fuse 23 common to only the second alarms 11. The first and second fuses 22, 23 are connected in series, while capacity of the first fuse 22 is set to be larger than capacity of the second fuse 23. Thereby, even if the current carrying circuit 13 is short-circuited through the second alarms 11, only the second fuse 23 is broken. Accordingly, for example, when a thief then opens a side door, a trunk lid or a bonnet by operation except regular operation, a theft detection mechanism 15 operates the first alarm 10 disposed inside an engine room to sound an alarm.</p> |
