PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus made in a compact size, capable of recording images on both sides of a transfer material and discharging the transfer material with the face down in a space of the apparatus. SOLUTION: An upper surface of an apparatus body 1a is taken as a paper discharge tray 22, and a reversing transport unit 2 for a transfer material is accommodated below it. A transfer material P fed from a paper feed cassette 15 to which a toner image of the back of a document has been transferred and fixed from a photoreceptor drum 10 is again fed to the photoreceptor drum 10 through the reversing transport unit 2, and after a toner image on the surface of a document is transferred and fixed to the transfer material, the transfer material is passed through the paper discharge tray 22 or again through the reversing transport unit 2 to be discharged to a sorter 11 connected to the apparatus body 1a with the surface image downward. |
