The frame for a mixed ferro-concrete building beam (A) has alternating panels (alpha I) and pillars (Beta I). The panels resist shear loads and the pillars resist normal loads. The pillars and panels are connected together. The pillars can be adapted to transmit shear loads to the adjacent panels.
