Electrical jack plug acting as a pivot

A cylindrical electrical jack plug 10 connects an electrical device 14, which is preferably a video device such as a camera, to another electrical device which can be a computer. The jack 10 also provides mechanical coupling of the two devices as it has bearing surfaces 22,24 on its cylindrical surface which can support a rotational load allowing the jack to act as a pivot around which one of the devices 14 can rotate relative to the other device. The jack 10 has a series of spaced apart electrical contact points 18 disposed along its shaft 12.
