PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a game machine that is capable of detecting the failure of signal lines for transmitting control commands. SOLUTION: The second byte of an error command 81 is '55H (01010101B)' set and reset for each bit, so when a display control board accurately receives the error command 81 and displays an error, one can determine that there is no bridging (short circuit) between signal lines through which control commands are transmitted. The second byte of an error canceling command 82 is '2AH (00101010B)' that is bit reversed with respect to the error command 81, so when the display control board accurately receives both the error canceling command 82 and the error command 81 and can restore the display of the error to its initial display before the error, one can determine that there is no disconnection of the signal line through which the control commands are transmitted. |
