PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer capable of perfect printing which can properly correct a curl of a recording paper generated during printing even when executing the printing to both faces of the recording paper or to one face of the recording paper. SOLUTION: A pressure as a printing condition of a first and a second thermal heads 14 and 19 when coming in pressure contact to a first and a second platens 18 and 19 to print to a recording paper 2 is set to be smaller at a first printing means 7 than at a second printing means 17, whereby a curl generated to the recording paper 2 when printed can be properly removed and corrected.
