PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of crosstalks and arrange pressure generation chambers with high density. SOLUTION: The ink-jet type recording head includes a pressure generation chamber 12 connected to communicate with a nozzle opening 11, and a piezoelectric element 300 comprised of a lower electrode 60 set on an elastic plate 50 constituting at least a part of the pressure generation chamber 12, a piezoelectric layer 70 set on the lower electrode 60 and, an upper electrode 80 set to a surface of the piezoelectric layer 70. In this case, the pressure generation chamber 12 is formed at least of the elastic plate 50 set on a substrate 10, and a flow path 13 for connecting the pressure generation chamber 12 with the nozzle opening 11 is set to the substrate 10.
