PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform temperature elevation control corresponding to the actual meal time band of a user. SOLUTION: In this rice cooking and warmth-keeping container, a lid opening/closing detection means 39 for detecting the opening/closing of a lid body 2, a meal time estimation means for estimating the meal time based on the number of times of opening/closing a lid detected by the lid opening/closing detection means 39 and a temperature elevation control means for controlling energizing to a heating means (work coil 9) so as to elevate a temperature inside a pot to a set temperature set beforehand at the meal time estimated by the meal time estimation means are installed. The meal time is estimated by the number of times of opening/closing the lid body 2 and the temperature inside the pot is elevated to the set temperature matched with the estimated meal time.
