PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety by limiting the discharge amount of a cooling medium, as well as securing the safety in a car room by preventing the discharge of the cooling medium into the car room as little as possible, when the cooling medium leakage is detected. SOLUTION: When the carbon deoxide is the cooling medium, a switch valve 11 to discharge the cooling medium when the cooling medium leakage is detected, at the outer side of a car room between an evaporator 6 and an accumulator 7, is provided. To such a structure, switch valves may be provided between a radiator 3 and a pressure reducing device 5, and at the car room outer side between the switch valve 11 and the accumulator 7, so as to close the switch valves when the cooling medium leakage is detected. When the cooling medium is a normal cooling medium other than the carbon deoxide, a switch valve to discharge the cooling medium when the cooling medium leakage is detected is provided at the car room outer side between a liquid tank and the pressure reducing device. To this structure, switch valves may be provided between the liquid tank and the switch valve, and at the car room outer side between the evaporator and a compressor, so as to close the switch valves when the cooling medium leakage is detected.
