PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a handling space at the intersecting part as small as possible when long material is housed in while a line width for housing is being narrowed. SOLUTION: The device is formed out of a guide rail laid over a floor surface, a truck 11 capable of being guided and moved by the guide rail, and of housing material in a specified space. The truck is so structured as to be moved in the lateral direction without changing the direction of the truck 11 at the intersecting part of the guide rail. No rotary point is provided for the guide rail at the intersecting part. This constitution thereby enables the material to be efficiently housed even on the inside of a swaying vessel, and also enables a handling space at the intersecting part to be as small as possible when a long material is housed in.
