PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the instability of wire feeding and sticking of a wire at the time of executing welding while feeding the wire into through a wire inserting hole of a contact tip of a welding machine. SOLUTION: Relating to a welding torch that the wire 8 is inserted into the wire inserting hole 7y of the contact tip mounted at the tip of a shield gass pipe 6, an arc is generated between the tip of the wire 8 and base metal and the shield gas is flowed from the shield gas pipe 6 and wedding is executed, the shape of the end face on the wire inserting side of the contact tip 7 is formed into a chevron shape 7p whose center part is projected and the blow-off port 6h of the shield gas pipe 6 is faced to the position of this chevron shape 7p.
